In the midst of one of the most turbulent times in history, as the international monetary-financial system is in its end-phase, the LaRouche Youth Movement (LYM) in Germany together with our fellow revolutionaries in Sweden and Denmark held a cadre school weekend on Dec. 8-10 in the south of Sweden .  In preparation, we had youth organizers from Berlin going up to Stockholm and Copenhagen to organize the Scandinavian population to join the new shift in politics triggered by LaRouche and his international youth movement. In Sweden , our associates have accepted this challenge, and launched a campaign to kick the oligarchy out of Sweden . Initial weapons in this fight include the release of a bombshell book {Sweden, A Synarchist Model} exposing how Sweden has been used as a role-model for a sophisticated fascist state, and a mass pamphlet entitled "How Long Are We Going To Tolerate the Oligarchy?" which we started distributing before the cadre school.  Sending reinforcements to these Nordic capitals means that we are now creating a broader mobilization of northern Europe with the triangle Berlin-Stockholm-Copenhagen

The intention of opening up this northern flank is to start breaking the old, oligarchical control of Europe . At a time when our LYM friends across the Atlantic have been able to bring forth the critical mass effect which led the way to the Democratic victory in the mid-term elections, and are now pushing for the double impeachment of Cheney and Bush, we have to make sure that Europe is prepared for the tectonic shifts that are occurring in the United States. There is a dire need to build an intellectual and political leadership here in order to crush the old European oligarchical tradition once and for all, and bring the core idea of the American Revolution, that {all men are created equal,} back to Europe .

Easily said -- not so easily done! But, we have the advantage to be working with one of the greatest geniuses in history, the leading economist and statesman Lyndon LaRouche, author of the winning method in dealing with 21st century physical-economic and social systems, otherwise known as {The New Politics.} Working toward the mastery of this method was the challenge for the group of young, curious people who met up in a house in Haestveda in the south of Sweden to participate in an historic weekend full of ideas about science, music, economics, and politics.

The cadre school was opened by Danish LYM leader Feride Istogu Gillesberg giving a brief introduction. She was joined by Kasia Kruczkowski, who gave a thorough account of how it was the effect created by the LYM's organizing which won the Congressional elections for the Democrats in the United States . She did this by giving a real sense of the political battle going on on American campuses, where a couple of months ago we started distributing the pamphlet "Is Joseph Goebbels On Your Campus?" which triggered lots of institutional reactions, producing a mass effect.

EIR's Jeff Steinberg and LYM's Michael Kirsch called in from the U.S. to give a political briefing on the new dynamic after the Democratic victory, and the ongoing mobilization leading toward LaRouche's January 11 webcast, when the new Congress will be walking in. They both emphasized the importance of grasping the concept which LaRouche has identified as The New Politics. Jeff reported from a meeting with diplomats, which LaRouche had had in Washington , D.C. , where there was a typical knee-jerk reaction from one of the attendants, who claimed not to have seen the "revolution" that we are talking about. "A real revolution is when you have the masses on the streets," he said, referencing his generation's 1968 revolt. LaRouche answered: "The revolution is happening right in front of your eyes, but you don't see it," referring to the youth movement's political interventions all over the United States the last couple of years. Rather than having a Jacobin-like mass movement based on lowest common denominators or one-to-one conversions, the LYM has been able to create a {mass effect} by transforming the environment in which the population acts.

Michael Kirsch continued with the importance of the science work in creating such an historic, political change. He explained that the task is now to make the population conscious of how we made the Democratic victory possible, by showing what the difference is between acting on a scientifically proven method, and arbitrarily making decisions whose effects you don't know. He went into how the American LYM have set up a central command, a War Room, where youth members coordinate our political interventions in different areas in the U.S. This operation will be extended to comprise the rest of the world, which means that the European LYM from now on will stay in close touch with the War Room.

In the morning, we started tuning our minds for the day's work with a chorus session led by Sergej Strid. The choral work is based on the Renaissance method of {bel canto} singing, permitting us to work on Johann Sebastian Bach's motet {Jesu, meine Freude}. After half an hour of voice warm-ups, we worked on the chorale {Trotz dem alten Drachen}. Out of the kitchen window, neighbors could hear the beauty of Classical music sung by 20 young people from seven different countries. After having the more advanced singers sing the piece through as a pedagogical example, the newer people could join in, now having a better idea of the music. The contacts and new members were highly fascinated and inspired by themselves being able to take part in creating beauty.  Later in the evening, there was a youth panel on the concept of {power} in LaRouche's economics, Leibniz's catenary-cued discovery of the calculus, and Kepler's {New Astronomy.} The question of how to measure the constant change in economic processes in society was posed in the introductory presentation by Petra Carlsson and Peter Moeller. This was followed up by a lively experimental session in dialogue form on the nature of the hanging chain, led by our delegation from Sweden , AbduSalam Aldahebi and Gard Rise. Portia Tarumbwa ended the youth panel with the problem of what a universal physical principle really is, and what method Kepler used in order to make the discovery documented in his {New Astronomy}.

The grand finale started off with an inspiring political briefing by Tom Gillesberg, who remarked that we are actually very fortunate to be able to be part of changing history, not having to fight for daily survival. Tom referenced how Third World countries, in the wake of the oil crisis, were made to take huge loans, which put them in a financial trap. He explained our political role in intervening into what was going on against countries in Ibero-America in the early 1980s, and presenting a solution to this seemingly impossible situation. Our slogan in these days was "Young Man, Go South!" which now served well as the theme for this cadre school, as the intention is to get young, caring people from Scandinavia to go south to the center of where politics is being made in Europe -- Germany!

Maja Munch and Stephan Hochstein brought us to a period in history similar to ours. Maja laid out the situation today where humanity has to decide for either a new New Dark Age or a new Renaissance. She went through how the collapse of the Lombard banks led to the Black Death with epidemics spreading, where no nation-states, infrastructure, or health-care systems existed. Stephan counterposed that by presenting the core idea of the Renaissance -- that man is created in the image of God, that man symbolizes creativity, or, simply, {the Good.} He gave an account of how this was done by recreating Classical culture, by such figures as Plethon and Petrarch.

Is man good or not? If man is good, how can we bring back a culture that fosters the good within people? Some of the best examples from history are the true German patriots who fought for the principles of the dignity of human life; people such as Nicholas of Cusa, Johannes Kepler, Gottfried Leibniz, Johann Sebastian Bach, and Friedrich Schiller. The American people are now, led by Lyndon LaRouche and his Youth Movement, determined to bring back exactly these principles of the American Revolution, the highest ideas created by and for mankind. The LaRouche movement in Germany -- the BueSo and the LYM -- are doing the same thing on this side of the Atlantic, getting rid of the Old Oligarchy and the Old Politics. The time has come for the New Politics!
